| How do I prevent moisture damage? |
| Glass naturally attracts condensation to it. The best thing a framer can do to prevent moisture damage is keep the artwork separated from the glass. Using a decorative mat or a hidden spacer in between the glass and the artwork is enough to create space between the two, allowing for air flow and preventing condensation from clinging to the artwork. It is also a good idea to hang or store the framed artwork in a humidity- and temperature-controlled environment, as sudden changes can cause heavy condensation. |
