For ten years Robert Hansen has been photographing within the Yucatan Peninsula in Southern Mexico. Robert Hansen's large format images of the missions, haciendas, churches as well as the Mayan people were compiled into a book entitled “Yucatan Passages”. Selections from this body of work were recently reproduced in Black and White magazine and were published by Laguna Wilderness Press in January 2004. Robert Hansen balances his commercial photography practice with his fine art pursuits. In addition, Hansen teaches photographic workshops out of The Center for Creative photography of San Juan Capistrano. Robert Hansen has had numerous solo exhibitions of his photography and his work is a part of many corporate and personal collections throughout the United States, Mexico and Germany.
