Photography - Leland Foerster
Leland Foerster is a native Californian whose photographic portfolios include: Stone Legacy: large format color photographs and letterpress text of the stone churches of Baja California, The Californios: black and white photographs and stories of Baja California ranchers from the mission era of Baja California, and Photographs of the Natural World: color images of the Southwest and Baja California. Leland Foerster continues to photograph the landscape and is working on a documentary project photographing people from similar walks of life in San Diego - Tijuana border region. He also teaches classes on fine art photography at University of California San Diego Extension. Leland Foerster's collection of limited edition color landscape images are available in sizes ranging from 16 x 20 to 40 x 50. See samples below. His prints have a remarkable richness and clarity which invite the viewer to "step into the scene." There are over 300 Leland Foerster prints in private and corporate collections including San Diego's Museum of Photographic Arts and The Copley Library in La Jolla.
